Username
A username (also known as a nickname) is the name of a player's account. Usernames appear underneath the critter in each room.

History
When pre-registration was first released on April 13, 2017, usernames could be between 3 and 20 characters. When Experiment #1 was released, players could create account with usernames between 3 and 25 characters. During pre-registration and for the first few days of Experiment #1, it was possible to create accounts with emojis and non-Latin characters.[1][2]
Nickname approvals were fixed on May 3, meaning that names should no longer show as "Hamster" for some players.[3]
Nicknames will be able to be changed at the release of Experiment #5.
